Sixteen of the 78 rooms are suites, all of them on the two top levels of the south face. What a suite buys here is a door between the bedroom and everything else, and outdoor space you can use in weather that comes off the Southern Ocean. Both categories are glazed on the windward side, which is the difference between a terrace you sit on and a terrace you look at.

Twelve suites at the east end of level four. Bedroom and sitting room are separate, with a door between them. Dining table for four, kitchenette with a fridge, and a bath set at the window on the sea side.

Four suites across the south face of level five, each 71 m² over three rooms, with an 18 m² terrace glazed on the windward side. Freestanding bath, kitchenette, wine fridge. There are four and there will not be a fifth; the roof line does not allow it.

Interconnecting doors join four pairs of Peninsula Suites, which is what families and travelling parties use. The Taiaroa Suites do not interconnect.
All five categoriesThe windward half is glazed to shoulder height with a solid return on the western corner, which is the side the weather arrives from. There is a gas heater and a wind-proof lamp on each terrace from May to September. It is not a summer terrace pretending to work in July; it was built for a coast that gets forty knots.
Room service runs 11am to 10pm from the The Beacon Room kitchen. For a set dinner served in the suite for four or more, tell the desk by midday and a waiter comes with it. Breakfast in the suite is at no extra charge on any package that includes breakfast.
Suite 512, the eastern of the four Taiaroa Suites. It is furthest from the lift core and the only one with no room above it. It is also the one that books first, so ask early.
Pool and steam-room access is in the rate for every room in the building, suites included. Treatments are booked and charged separately — see The Saltwater Bathhouse. Suite guests get first call on the two double treatment rooms when a booking is made at least a week out.
Resort Scenery is a hotel and entertainment resort at St Clair in Dunedin, New Zealand. This website carries information about our rooms, restaurant, bar, bathhouse, event spaces, gaming room and guest services. The Albion Room holds gaming machines, table games and live table gaming on the premises only, for guests and visitors aged 20 and over, and closes at 2.30am.
There is no play on this website. Resort Scenery runs no internet gaming, no betting service and no remote gaming of any kind. Nothing here accepts a stake, a deposit or a wager, and no account can be opened. Gaming happens in one room of this building, in person, under the Gambling Act 2003 and the conditions of our licence.

The Albion Room, the gaming room at Resort Scenery, is open to people aged 20 and over, as New Zealand law requires. The rest of the building — the rooms, The Beacon Room, The Cargill Bar, The Saltwater Bathhouse and the event rooms — is open to everyone.
